Hagen-Renaker's 'Springer Spaniel' dog was retired Fall 2009.
This adult 'Springer Spaniel' measures 2 1/4" tall, 2 5/8" long (from tip of nose to back of left rear foot), and 7/8" wide (side to side).
The classic coloration of black and white has multiple details, including a detailed black nose, eyes.
The mouth is defined with a salmon color.
The head is divided with the black covering both ears. The mussle is white.
The chest, back of head, shoulders, belly, and all four legs are white.
The back "saddle" is black, as is the 'stumb' of a tail.
The mould has nice texture that provides a good detailing for the dog's coat;
and with the shading gives more definition, to the coloration of this small figurine.
Extra shading of black defines the tips of the paws.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
