THIS Mama Boxer, #283, was produced in approximately 1968!!!
It is a
VINTAGE, RETIRED Hagen-Renaker miniature...
it is in WONDERFUL CONDITION!
Definitely a MORE REFINED FINISH, then the Mama Boxer from 1958! (Currently pictured as HR283-1).
This Mama Boxer measures approximately; 1 3/4" tall, to tip of right ear.
This is a classic coloration of the Boxer breed.
Definitely a darker brown overall, then that from the 1958, production.
The "Buff" body has darker brown shading, with details in black on the face.
Indeed, a regal looking breed...has been popular for years!!!
It is 2" long, from the nose to back left leg,
and 7/8" wide, at the widest points (right shoulder, left rear foot).
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
Hagen-Renaker, fine Potteries since 1946, still family owned AND; HANDCRAFTED IN AMERICA!
