"Seabiscuit" Horse, including base measures 3" tall, by 4" long. It is 1 5/8" at the widest point (on base).
Horses' tail extends pass the base 3/8"; thus making total length (from front of base to tip of tail) 4 3/8".
The base is a light buff colored bisque (left vacant of any glaze) matte finish.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.

"Seabiscuit" is medium brown shaded with a darker brown coloring (Chestnut). The air brushed shading, has been used for emphasis, that adds realism to the coloration.
The mane, tail, eyes and nose are detailed with black.
All four legs have black "stockings".
