HR747 - Chick - Specialty

This is 'Chick' #747 from the "Specialties" collection.
It IS currently being produced at the San Dimas factory, in California.

Designer: Helen Perrin Farnlund
Issued: Spring 1961 and intermittantly to the Present
Specialty Piece

Measuring 1 1/2" tall, 1 3/16" wide (side to side), 1 1/4", this chick is a larger version that would look PRECIOUS with several of the TINY CHICK CURRENTLY BEING PRODUCED!...

This chick is a pure yellow overall, with yellow ochre (orangish yellow) details on the feet and beak.
A salmon color defines the inside of the beak.
The eyes are defined with black dots, and VERY LIGHT black shading details both wings.

The script HR logo is fired onto the bottom of the piece in grey, identifying these miniatures as Hagen-Renaker.

All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
