"Coin Turtle" measures 1 5/8" long (from tip of tail to tip of nose), and 1 1/4" wide. It is 7/8" tall.
The detailing on the back of the turtle is scored in the mould, so the green semi-translucent glaze fills the divisions and defines the sections of the shell.
The eyes are simple black dots on either side of the turtle's head.
This turtle has a nice curved line for a pleasant smiling mouth.
The four feet are positioned as if to take-off walking at any time.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired" finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
