The 2002 FIFA World Cup© hosted by Japan and South Korea,
the first time that two contries had hosted the event, simultaniously!
To commemorate this historic event, TY introduced 32
different "Champion" bears,
one for each of the countries participating in the World Cup©.
Each "Champion" bear wears the official 2002 FIFA World
Cup© Logo Button
and it's button nose is a depiction of the National Emblem of the
country it represents.
All of the "Champion" Bears were introduced on April 4, 2002.
Fittingly, the Retirement Date of each bear is the date that
the country is represents was eleminated from World
Cup© competition.
This
item comes from the stockroom of
one of the largest TY™ Dealers in
the Southwest.
Both the Swing Tag and Tush Tags are in Mint Condition.
