Pony Foal on base first made in 2002, retired in 2004, a VERY SHORT RUN OF PRODUCTION!
Buckskin toned pony, shaded with a medium brown has a "Chestnut" colored mane and tail.
The detailing of the face is exceptional; expression lines above AND below the eyes, AND even white highlights, on the pupils.
As well as, a light salmon color define the nostrils.
A delicate brown line defines the mouth.
Prancing with right front hoof and tail raised, it stands on a 2 3/4" overall length base; Is 2 1/2" tall, with the base being 1 1/8", at the widest point.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platnuim) firing.
