This is "Blue Devil" representing Duke University...located in Durham, North Carolina,
a Soft Fabric Sculpture...!!!
as stated on the inside of the "Hang tag" (swing tag) attached to his left arm.

"The Duke Blue Devils originated when students sought a mascot that

matched the school colors. Editors in the student newspaper started using

Blue Devils. The Blue Devils were a well known French Alpine fighting unit

in World War I that had striking uniforms with a dark blue cape and beret."

He measures: Sitting Height approximately 7-3/4" tall (to the tip of his horns),
7" deep (from tip of nose to out stretched tail in back),
 and 6-1/4" side to side, at widest points on feet.

This piece has long been Retired...since 2000 (the LAST year it was produced-1999).
It is BRAND NEW, PRISTINE CONDITION...it still has the new fabric sheen on the plush materials.
